First Frogs

Common Frog (Rana Temporaria).

Photographed in the Rivelin Valley, South Yorkshire.

I noticed this morning that the first frogs are appearing in our local ditches and ponds. The first arrivals are always a little camera shy, but they should be much easier to photograph once spawning gets underway.

Keep an eye out for the first frog spawn in your area and report it to Nature's Calendar.
